LECTURER FOR SOCIAL SCIENCES COURSES

DUTIES

1. The candidate is expected to have strong research potential, demonstrated by relevant publications in high-impact journals, and teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas.
2. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills.
3. Successful candidates are expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish and maintain active research programs that lead to peer-reviewed publications in high-impact professional journals, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession.
4. Successful candidates are also expected to be involved in thematic research within one or more of the university research priority areas.

QUALIFICATION

1. An MSC or equivalent doctorate in related disciplines from an accredited institution is required.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with education from and/or previous service in pre-eminent institutions of higher education.
3. A minimum of five years & experience.

LECTURER FOR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

DUTIES

1. Full-time teaching of undergraduate business administration classes.
2. Prepare lectures, assignments, examinations, and other class-related materials for face-to-face and possibly also online classes.
3. Assign and grade homework.
4. Hold office hours and provide assistance to students as needed.
5. Participate in departmental administrative activities as directed by the department chair.
6. Engage in other academic and professional engagement activities consistent with the department’s mission.

OR

Over the span of the academic year, teach three courses in Business Administration and oversee the college’s Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Business Administration internship program. The former program expands access for all students, regardless of major, to a variety of programs and curricular opportunities in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Possible course load includes courses from among Business Ethics, Investment Analysis, Principles of Management, Entrepreneurship, Introductory Statistics, or other electives beneficial to the program.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Candidate should possess a First Degree (not below Second Class)
2. Applicant must possess a Master of Science degree with a specialization in specialization in Strategic Marketing Management, International Marketing, International Business Management, Human Resource Management, Digital or E-Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communication and Management, Services Marketing.
3. The candidate should have teaching and research experience in a recognized National or International University or comparable institution of higher learning.
4. Candidate must have attained Lecturer II position as of the date of application.
5. Recognized publications will be an added advantage.
6. Membership of the relevant professional organization is an added advantage

OR

1. Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or extensive career experience in Business Administration.
2. The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, collaboration with colleagues, advising undergraduate students, advising student organizations, and participating in faculty governance.

LECTURER FOR MEDICAL COURSES

DUTIES

1. Utilize a range of appropriate teaching, learning, and assessment methods including lectures, tutorials, and practical activities to enable teaching and learning
2. Participate in curriculum design, review, and evaluation processes.
3. Participate in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Provide academic counseling and advice to students.
4. Participate in the delivery of the courses in a range of degree programs
5. Develop and maintain a program of innovation and research that aligns with and supports the School and University
6. Initiate collaborative innovative projects
7. To coordinate Modules delivered by the School
8. To participate in innovation and research activities and supervisory committees, postgraduate assessment panels, and other support activities as required that contribute to the education and career development of undergraduate and postgraduate students within the School.
9. To support the educational programs of the School, ensuring high-quality delivery of modules, maintaining, developing, and transmitting the expertise and techniques that support the innovation and research missions of the School and the University.

REQUIREMENTS

1. MSC holder with a minimum of 7 years teaching and research experience at the university level and must have spent at least 3 years as a Senior Lecturer.
2. An appreciable number of publications in reputable journals.
3. Postgraduate fellowship in relevant field (eg: FWACP, FMCPath, FMCPCH, or their equivalents).
4. MBBS+PhD or B.Sc/MBBS+M.Sc+PhD.
5. Computer Literacy is required for all positions.
